Known Number Hosting

The table below shows Communication Providers (CPs) that host their numbers with Wholesale Providers.

We receive many import requests on a daily basis for numbers to port into Simwood’s network. Finding all the right information for the port to be successful takes time and can be quite involved. 

For example, you may have an import request to port numbers from Digital Mail. As we don’t have a direct agreement with Digital Mail, we need to understand if Digital Mail host their numbers elsewhere or not. Thankfully, we’re aware that Digital Mail often host their numbers on Magrathea’s network and have delegated porting, so we can address this porting request to Magrathea and we can continue the port from there.

It is impossible to know all the providers out there who delegate porting, and precisely who with, but the following shows our understanding as of March 2024:

Note: Scenario 7 is BT’s feature for IPEX that enables the Range Holder to export the number(s) through BT rather than BT having to process the request under their porting agreement.
